MEDA CD Ripper 2.2Description

As its name implies, MEDA CD Ripper is a tool that allows you to rip an audio CD and convert songs to WAV, MP3 and APE.
The interface of the tool is based on a standard window. The list of audio tracks is automatically displayed upon program initialization. Here you can find out the name and length, along with the start and end sectors of each item.
If you are satisfied with the standard settings, then you can immediately start the conversion task by specifying the output destination and file type. Otherwise, you can modify audio settings when it comes to the bits per second and compression level. Unfortunately, you cannot restore options to default.
Additionally, you can select another source drive from a drop-down menu, change the default output directory and library location, as well as edit ID3 tags.
But you can also set MEDA CD Ripper to overwrite existing files and to get CD information from a server automatically, disable the toolbar and status bar, as well as select or deselect all items. Plus, you can preview tracks in a built-in audio player.
The audio conversion tool runs on a low amount of CPU and system memory and finishes a task in reasonable time. The user documentation proves to be reliable to novices. MEDA CD Ripper has a good response time and outputs a good sound quality.
However, you cannot set the tool to open the output directory, exit or to power off the computer after encoding. Furthermore, you cannot specify the thread priority, trim tracks or configure additional audio settings (e.g. channel mode, volume level). The interface lacks modern elements but we must take into account the fact that MEDA CD Ripper has not been updated for a long while.
